In 16th-century Japan, tea masters adored cracked bowls. While the rest of the world chased glossy perfection, they calmly sipped from flaws. Wabi-sabi basically said, “Relax, it’s chipped.” Honestly, revolutionary. Here we are in modern Britain still apologising for wonky edges. At KeKo Club, we practise the radical act of not over-fixing. Clay slumps, life wobbles, and somehow tea still tastes fine. Maybe the crack isn’t the problem. Maybe it’s the personality.
